FileCap performs a check before sending the message. If you have accidentally added (too large) files to the e-mail (without our plug-in), FileCap will try to send them in the safer way. If this fails, you will be asked to do this yourself before sending the message.

FileCap scans files and attachments for viruses and verifies that file types and files with a particular extension are allowed by the organization's administrator. Often executable or packed files (.exe, .com, .bat, .zip) are blocked because they pose a risk to recipients.
In addition, as a user you have the ability, if the administrator allows it, to adjust the lifetime of the message (and thus the attachments). You can also determine how often a particular attachment may be downloaded by a recipient. Of course, you can also leave everything unchanged!
